Christopher Pearl’s Bio:

Chris was born and raised in New Jersey, but left after High School to attend the University of Central Florida in Orlando.  During his 4 years at UCF, he studied Marketing and represented the student body as a Senator in UCF’s Student Government.  Chris graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and after school he was offered a job working as an Account Executive for BellSouth Telecommunications in Sunrise, FL.  During his tenure there he quickly was promoted and became responsible for the management and growth of more than 300 business accounts throughout BellSouth’s Southeast territory.  He also became a mentor for new employees familiarizing them with job responsibilities and the customer databases.

In 2005, Chris was lured away from BellSouth and offered a job as the Membership Director for the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.  At age 25, he proudly became the youngest Director of Membership in the 87 year history of the Chamber.  While employed there, he managed a membership sales team and implemented a new marketing strategy to grow their membership base beyond the Miami Beach city limits.

Chris left the Chamber to venture out and start his own diversified set of business ventures.  Through his Miami area business contacts he started a business selling customized corporate gifts, and also opened a retail establishment in the Tampa Bay area selling clothing and accessories.  After successfully growing both businesses he eventually sold them, and left the private sector to pursue his true passion for teaching.

In the beginning of 2007, Chris started his teaching career at Lawton Chiles Middle School teaching Civics, but left at the end of the school year to join the staff here at Country Club Middle School.  He currently teaches Advanced & Gifted 7th grade Civics classes, in addition the inaugural T.V. Productions elective.  He also coaches the CCMS Boys Soccer team which, for the second year in a row, is undefeated in the regular season and headed for the playoffs.

Chris has also been involved in organizing the United Way fundraisers for this year and last year.

Students Manuela Rivera, Juliana Duque and Katherine Baquero enjoy a moment with  Mr. Pearl.

He was in charge of Student Council last year, and coordinates the morning announcements via Closed Circuit T.V. this year with a crew from his T.V. productions class.

Chris has successfully used his background knowledge in business and understanding of economics to integrate into the classroom many projects and activities that give his students a better understanding of the “real world” and prepares them for challenges they will face in their lives.
